The instances of duality shown in this landscape refer to the emergence of the feminine energy or the current shift in consciousness on the planet. On the bottom left I have written a quote by Arundhati Roy: "Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day I can hear her breathing"
This is my latest painting of the “Emergence” series, I have been working on this series for the last 25 years. It has many elements that need to be explained. The three figures are really aspects of one spirit. The center full color figure is our human body on this mother earth. The colors show the full emotion of our life here in the 3rd dimension. The black and white figure on the right is our spirit in a crystalline body after we have ascended into the higher dimensions. The third figure is higher soul that is no longer attached to anything physical. The little houses in the background are a mansion and a farm house. This signifies the difficult life in 3rd dimension on eart...
About JoAnne Castelli-Castor
JoAnne Castelli-Castor was born into a family of artists and has been drawing and painting since she was a teenager. She has recently traced her heritage back to 1507 to the ceramic artisans of the town of Castelli in Italy. She works in her New Jersey studio and has done many portraits and various other commissioned projects. A major part of her work is a group of paintings she calls "Global Emergence of the Feminine Energy". Symbolic female figures rising from water, earth, darkness, clouds, etc. are used as icons of world conflicts and are representative of a society which is struggling to move toward consensus and peace and away from aggression and war. Her works are large-scale and can be described as realistic yet abstract...
